MarocaVie: Supporting Education in Southern Morocco

School bags to support children’s education

Between September and October 2025, 1,171 students from rural areas in the provinces of Taroudant, Essaouira, and Sidi Ifni received school bags and supplies through Marocavie.

This initiative helps promote school attendance and reduce educational inequalities, giving children the tools they need to start the school year on equal footing.

MarocaVie: a locally rooted charity

Founded in 2008 by OLVEA Morocco, Marocavie works to improve the living conditions of rural communities across three main areas:

  • Education: school support, distribution of supplies, access to learning resources.
  • Health: prevention campaigns and basic healthcare access.
  • Economic development: local projects fostering family self-sufficiency.

Funding and volunteering

The association is primarily funded by OLVEA Morocco, which donates a percentage of its turnover, supplemented by private contributions.

Run entirely by local volunteers, Marocavie operates independently,  ensuring a transparent approach grounded in the real needs of the communities.
