Your support helps set-up impactful projects with social, economic, and environmental objectives, financed through Development Funds independently managed by OLVEA’s partner farmer organizations. 

These projects empower communities to thrive by focusing on education, sustainability, and resilience. This cooperative effort has already led to the launch of several transformative initiatives, leaving a profound and enduring impact: 

Food Security

Beyond fair compensation, concrete actions are being taken to strengthen the food security of jojoba producers. Through the development funds, essential nutritional supplements are distributed to plantation workers and their families. This initiative helps ensure regular access to quality nutrition while strengthening the health and resilience of local communities. 

Respect & Workplace Equity

Our partners organize mandatory two-hour training sessions for all employees, from field workers to administrative staff, focused on preventing sexual harassment in the workplace. These sessions help identify inappropriate behavior and raise awareness of reporting mechanisms, ensuring a respectful and dignified working environment for everyone. 

Education & Distribution of School Kits

Each year, before the beginning of the school year, school kits including backpacks, notebooks, and supplies are distributed to workers’ children. By reducing this financial burden on families, we support children’s education and help prevent school dropout within local communities. 

Strengthening Social & Financial Empowerment

The development funds also support awareness workshops focused on personal financial management and addiction prevention, including gambling-related issues. These training sessions provide workers with practical tools to better manage their household budgets and support the long-term well-being of their families. 

Housing Support

Improving living conditions is a key factor in supporting the well-being of families. This project finances the purchase of essential construction materials, such as cement, bricks, and roofing materials, for our partners’ employees. By supporting the renovation or expansion of homes, we help provide families with a safer, healthier, and more sustainable living environment.
